This studio extends the investigations of Arch 105 from architectural form into urban form. It introduces the city as a locus of ideas, aesthetics, and experiences manifested predominantly through architecture. Critical observation, inquiry, and design methodologies are developed through a series of accretive assignments that focus on concepts and techniques fundamental to urban design, including formal analysis through diagrams, hypothesizing through grafts, design development through large-scale physical modeling, and experiential narration through a final graphic presentation.
