Spring 2022 semester information

Updated March 21, 2022

This page compiles School of Architecture–specific information for the Spring 2022 semester. We’ll keep it updated as necessary.

Return to on-campus instruction

School of Architecture courses designated as “on campus” or “hybrid” are now able to meet on campus. Faculty may choose to hold individual classes virtually, but unless you hear from your instructor that you are meeting online, assume that any class designated as on campus is meeting on campus.

Arch 252, Arch 360, Arch 372, Arch 522, and Arch 567 are hybrid courses; students in these classes should follow instructions from faculty about where to meet. Arch 471 is a synchronous online course that will continue to meet virtually.

The university updated its mask policy effective March 1. Students, faculty, and staff must continue to wear masks inside classrooms. Wearing a mask is encouraged even when it’s not required.

Safety measures

There are a few safety measures that apply to architecture studios beyond the campus’s general policies:

Eating is still not allowed in studio spaces or other classrooms.

We also want to emphasize a few of the campus policies communicated in the links above:

All students, faculty, and staff must be vaccinated against COVID-19, including a booster, or seek an exemption.

Anyone who has symptoms, tests positive for COVID, or is exposed to someone who tested positive should inform contact tracing through the university’s self-reporting tool.
