Join us for the first lecture of our fall series by the São Paulo and Mexico City-based architect, curator, and urban designer Sol Camacho. Associate Professor Judith De Jong will lead a conversation after the lecture.
Sol Camacho leads RADDAR, an innovative practice in research and design acting in São Paulo and Mexico City. Amongst other urban projects, the office is leading the complete renovation of the Heritage Sports Complex Pacaembu in São Paulo. Her role as a cultural agent has taken her to museum management and curating architecture exhibitions. From 2017 to 2022, she was the cultural director of the Instituto Bardi / Casa de Vidro, in charge of the exhibitions, cultural events, and coordination of Lina Bo Bardi’s archive. Camacho is also deeply involved in education; she is a professor at Escola da Cidade and has taught, written, and lectured extensively internationally on architecture, urban design, and conservation. Before establishing RADDAR, Sol worked independently in an open-office format, partnering with renowned architects in Mexico, the US, and Brazil. She developed projects with OMA, Metro Arquitetos + Paulo Mendes da Rocha, among others.
