Francesco Marullo at the Oslo Architecture Triennial 2016

UIC's 2016-17 Garofalo Fellow, Francesco Marullo, along with his partners at Behemoth Press present, Prato Cittá Fabbrica: The Architecture of the Industrial District, a one-day symposium on the relation between architecture, territory, and production. The event is organized as a parallel project to the Oslo Architecture Trienniale 2016 (After Belonging) with the local collaboration of [chi-ná] and the visual support of Igreg Studio.

From the organizers: "Drawing on [the Chinese garment district in Prato] as an exemplary case study, and through a comparison with other Italian and European examples, Behemoth Press aims at an architectural investigation of the notion of Industrial District, namely that socio-territorial entity characterised by the presence of an active community of people and business companies intimately connected within a logistic network of cooperating suppliers and producers."
