Participation of UIC School of Architecture faculty in CAB 6: Shift: Architecture in Times of Radical Change

SHIFT: Architecture in Times of Radical Change is the sixth edition of the Chicago Architecture Biennial and marks the celebration of its tenth anniversary.

The UIC School of Architecture is proud to highlight the outstanding contributions of its faculty at the upcoming Chicago Architecture Biennale 2025. Led by artistic director and UIC School of Architecture director (on leave) Florencia RodriguezShift: Architecture in Times of Radical Change, which will open in September 2025, explores how architecture engages with the profound cultural, social, and environmental transformations shaping our world today and explores the possibility of envisioning alternate paths forward. Featuring over 100 projects by architects, artists, and designers from 30 countries, SHIFT convenes voices from around the world in a citywide constellation of exhibitions and public programs.

UIC architecture faculty members who are contributing and will showcase work include Kelly Bair(BairBailliet ), Alexander EisenschmidtStewart HicksIgo Kommers WenderSean LallyClare Lyster (CLUAA), Antonio Torres (The Bittertang Farm) and Aura Venckunaite. Together, this dynamic ensemble from the UIC School of Architecture represents a powerful blend of critical discourse, material innovation, and cultural leadership, affirming the school’s vital role in locally and globally shaping architectural dialogue.​
