These live, one-hour sessions for prospective graduate students are hosted by the Graduate Advisor or Associate Director of Graduate Studies. Each session includes information about the school’s graduate degree programs, the admissions process, and the work and activities current students are engaging with. Attendees will also see photos of the school's facilities and graduate studio and have an opportunity to ask questions.

Virtual Portfolio Workshop
Monday, November 3, 6:00pm-8:00pm (Central) Register

Prospective graduate students are invited to join us for a virtual portfolio workshop. Graduate faculty will provide tips about creating an admission portfolio, and attendees will have the opportunity to get feedback on their portfolios in small groups (submitted in advance).

Faculty Session, 6:00-7:00pm (Central)
Graduate faculty will discuss how to appraoch admission portfolio design, content, and so on.

Portfolio Feedback Session, 7:00-8:00pm (Central)
Current grad students and UIC Portfolio Day honorees will provide feedback on prospective students' admission portfolio drafts in small groups. Portfolios must be submitted in advance. 

Students from both architecture and non-architecture backgrounds are welcome. Spaces in the feedback session are limited.

Virtual Director Talk and Graduate Student Panel
Tuesday, November 18, 6:30pm (Central): Register

Prospective graduate students are invited to join us for a virtual talk with the Interim Director of the School of Architecture, David Brown and a panel discussion with current graduate students. Learn more about UIC’s approach to the discipline and what makes our program unique. Hear current graduate students discuss their experiences in the school and the paths that led them here. The panel discussion will be moderated by our Director of Graduate Studies, Kelly Bair. Prospective students are encouraged to come with questions! Zoom link provided upon registration
