YArch is open to current undergraduate students and college graduates without formal training in architecture.
Submit your YArch application now! The priority application deadline for YArch 2017 is June 1, 2017. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Space is limited, so we encourage you to apply early. Students who are admitted to the program will be informed via email.
All applications and supplemental materials are submitted online through the link above. Application requirements include:
- Non-refundable $40 application fee, paid by credit card with online application.
- Statement of Intent: 500 words describing your interest in architecture and how YArch fits into your education or career history and future plans. Successful statements of intent include specific reasons for applying to YArch; the best statements elaborate beyond "because I want to be an architect" or "I want to prepare for graduate school in architecture."
- Examples of creative work: Three (3) color reproductions of your creative original work (pdf preferred). Appropriate submissions include sketches or drawings, sculpture, collages, and other designed physical or digital pieces. Creative writing is acceptable, but please include at least two visual works to meet this requirement.
- Resume or CV.
- Unofficial transcripts from colleges or universities attended.
Attention international students: As a non-degree, non-credit program, YArch cannot provide the necessary paperwork to obtain a visa. Only students with in-status visas may apply.
