Conversation and reception
Tuesday, December 11, 6pm
1100 A+D Studios
Join us after final reviews on Tuesday, December 11, for a public conversation around Bowling: Water, Architecture, Urbanism, a book released last year by Professor Sarah Dunn’s firm, UrbanLab. Bowling asks, Why, as a discipline, do contemporary architects counter huge crises with small ideas?
The event will bring together Dunn and Martin Felsen (UrbanLab), the book’s authors; John McMorrough (University of Michigan), a contributor to the book; Ellen Grimes (School of the Art Institute of Chicago), the book’s editor; and UIC faculty Penelope Dean and Alexander Eisenschmidt, who will offer critiques. Drinks and big ideas to follow.
