Open Studios are a chance to drop in on the design work happening at the School of Architecture this semester.
For the first event of the semester, we join Penelope Dean and Grant Gibson’s second-year graduate studio for season 2 of The House Show. The studio reframes the concept of minimalism as a question of liveability—that is, a livable minimum over existenzminimum—by reimagining Chicago’s “three-flat” type on vacant city-owned lots.
